Hello, my name is Kevin Fantl and I am the BMES Vice President for the 2017 - 2018 school year. As the vice president, my role in BMES is to lead the officer teams in meetings, provide support to all of the officers and everyone in BMES, help to coordinate all events, and schedule all BMES-related meetings. I will also be collecting status reports all semester from the officers to help BMES to run smoothly.

This year I am a junior in the BME program and I am currently set on the biomechanics track. I have also been a part of the Vascular Tissue Biomechanics Lab (VTB) under the Chesler Group on campus for the past year. I am helping as an undergraduate researcher and my past and current work focus on the effect of sickle cell disease on the functionality of the right ventricle. I also have experience in working as a mechanical design intern.

Outside of school, I am an avid Wisconsin sports fan. I also love the outdoors and love fishing, hunting, hiking, wakeboarding, and snowboarding.

I am looking forward to a great year in BMES! I can't wait to get to meet more of you.

If you have any questions at all (anything about BMES, how to become more involved, how to join a lab, how to get an internship, would just like to chat, etc.), absolutely do not hesitate to ask me. I am here to help with anything! Contact me at: kfantl@wisc.edu
